Here's what I have learned about life so far!
As I sit down to write my first article, I can’t help but reflect on the lessons and learnings I have accumulated throughout my life so far. While I am 22 and young, far from perfect, and may never be, I strive every day to be a better version of myself. And I guess that's what we all are here for (*not on this article lol, I meant in life generally), to be a better version of ourselves.
In case you are already self-motivated, I’d recommend skipping over to the “why the hell are you even here?” line :)
I strongly believe that self-motivation, self-care, and personal growth are like three eggs of Cleopatra, that you rarely see together, but if you ever do you should know that you’ve hit the jackpot, jokes apart all three of them are interconnected, and they play a vital role in an individual’s overall well-being and development. Self-motivation is the drive and determination to achieve one’s goals and aspirations, while self-care is how we maintain our physical, mental, and emotional health. Personal growth, on the other hand, is the process of developing and improving oneself in various areas of life. These three eggs are highly interconnected and interdependent.
Without self-motivation, it can be difficult to set and achieve goals, and without self-care, individuals may not have the energy or resources to make progress. Additionally, personal growth can lead to increased self-awareness and self-esteem, which can in turn, boost self-motivation and self-care practices.
All in all, what I am trying to sell here is that self-motivation and self-care are crucial components of personal growth.
It’s important to remember that personal growth is a journey, not a destination. It’s okay to make mistakes and have setbacks, it’s all part of the process, But with patience and effort, we can continue to learn and grow throughout our lives.
It’s common to struggle and feel overwhelmed at times, especially when life takes unexpected turns. It’s important to remember that it’s okay to take breaks. Just be kind and compassionate towards yourself and take care of your well-being if/when you’re struggling. However, it’s also important to find ways to get back on track, With some effort, anyone can get back on track and refocus on their goals.
If there’s anything I want you to take away from this article, that would be to always-always remember and I repeat, that it’s okay to not be the most self-motivated person you know. It’s a skill that can be developed over time with practice and effort. Don’t be too hard on yourself, motivation is also a journey, not a destination xD.
Don’t be ever afraid to seek help if you need it, it takes courage to ask for support, and it can be a valuable step towards improving your overall well-being.
Life is the most beautiful thing once you start cherishing it, and it has a lot to offer for each and every one of us in its own ways, we just have to wait patiently and let the dots align, And last but not the least, a bit of wit is always appreciated.
Learnings
We are constantly learning and growing throughout our lives, and those learnings can come from a variety of sources like our experiences, the book we are reading, our relationships, the last date we went on, that one time you helped an elderly pedestrian cross the road, and not to mention that we even learn from our mistakes, it’s a never-ending process.
And let me reiterate and emphasize again that I am neither the most successful nor the happiest person I know. My purpose/ intention here is just to share what’s worked for me, in hopes that my experience might be relatable to you and perhaps provide some insight into implementing the same lessons into your own lives as well, conditions if you are already planning to do so.
When you forgive, you heal. When you let go, you grow.
One of the most valuable lessons that I have learned in my life is the importance of forgiveness. Forgiving ourselves or others can be a difficult and complicated process, but it is an essential aspect of personal growth. I cannot even tell you how much change forgiveness adds to a person's personality and overall well-being. Holding onto resentment and grudges can weigh us down and prevent us from moving forward. When we forgive, we are able to let go of these negative emotions and free ourselves from the burden they create.
Gratitude puts you in a place where you’re humble.
Another lesson I have learned is the power of gratitude. It’s easy to get caught up in the stresses and challenges of daily life and forget to appreciate the things we have. However, focusing on the things we are thankful for can have a big impact on our mood and well-being. everyone around you loves you and cares for you for the moment you are with them, is this not enough for you to live and enjoy that moment?
How much good inside a day? Depends how good you live ’em.
I have also learned the value of self-care. Taking care of ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally, is crucial for our overall well-being. This can include activities like exercise, eating a healthy diet, and engaging in activities we enjoy. It’s easy to put our own needs on the back burner, but it’s important to make time for self-care in order to feel our best.
Apart from these, some other things also deserve an honorable mention such as self-acceptance, self-compassion, and accepting ourselves as we are, flaws and all. Life can be tough at times and it’s important to have the resilience to bounce back from challenges and setbacks...

So that is all for this article, if you see any mistakes here please ignore them 🙂, I’m just a newbie.
The purpose of this article is to share my personal reflections on life, and how I perceive life through its challenges and day-to-day burnouts. While my intention is not to provide advice or solutions for those struggling with demotivation, I sincerely hope that reading this piece can offer some level of comfort to anyone who comes across it. Even if it only helps one person by 1%, it would make me really really happy.
